Uncharted Escapades was born from a single weekend in the mountains of Djibouti. What Sarah found there — fresh air, hidden waterfalls, a new way of seeing — changed everything.
Born and raised in Djibouti, Sarah returned home in 2023 after eight years abroad. She began documenting Djibouti's culture, people, and traditions — building a strong, engaged following on social media.
On a spontaneous weekend getaway, Sarah traveled to Diitilou, a remote destination five hours from Djibouti City. With little information online, she set out with no expectations — and found an underrated gem: fresh mountain air, dramatic landscapes, and a small waterfall tucked in an unexpected place.
This became the catalyst for Uncharted Escapades, launched in 2025, with a clear mission: redefine how both locals and travelers experience Djibouti.
One year later — after sold-out trips and a national newspaper feature — Uncharted Escapades is expanding beyond borders with its first international journey: Egypt.
